- MODS Note
- 'The 1924 Edward H, and Bertha R. Keller House is significant as an extraordinary example of the English Cottage Revival style and the work of a master designer Elmer E. Feig. At the time of construction, Feig was quickly building a reputation as a skilled designer of residential apartment buildings in revival styles. This building includes many of the characteristics used in his later large apartment buildings, and therefore is significant as an early example of his developing aesthetic. The Keller House is also important as the most notable of his few known single-family residential commissions. The residence is also the best representation of the English Cottage Revival style inside the Alameda Neighborhood of NE Portland. Source: National Register, Statement of Significance.
